How we work
From the first call to a running monthly rhythm — what happens, who does what, and how long it takes.
From first contact to first closed month
Onboarding normally takes five to ten working days. Nothing about it should require you to become an expert in accounting software.
Switching accountant mid-year is completely normal in Norway, and your current provider is obliged to hand over your material. We manage that conversation for you if you prefer.
The check and the call
You answer seven questions online, we call you back within one business day and confirm scope, price and start date.
Agreement and access
A written engagement agreement, digital signature, and access to the accounting system, bank and Altinn roles.
Data transfer
We request the ledger, balance specifications and SAF-T file from your current accountant and reconcile the opening balance.
Routines agreed
Who sends what, when, and how. Receipt app installed, invoice flow and bank integration tested on real data.
First closed period
The first month is closed, reported and reviewed with you. Any weak points from the previous provider are documented.
What happens every month, without you asking
Days 1–5
Documents collected, vouchers booked, bank reconciled, open items followed up.
Days 6–10
Period closed, reconciliations documented, management report sent to you.
Days 11–25
Payroll run, payslips distributed, A-melding filed, tax deduction and employer's contribution reported.
Every second month
MVA return prepared, checked against the ledger and filed in Altinn before the deadline.
The dates that carry a penalty
These are the Norwegian deadlines we manage on your behalf. They sit in our system, and you get a confirmation each time a filing has been made.
| Deadline | What |
|---|---|
| 5th of the month | A-melding for the previous month |
| 10 April / 10 June / 31 Aug / 10 Oct / 10 Dec / 10 Feb | MVA return for each two-month term |
| 15 March / 15 May / 15 Sept / 15 Nov | Employer's contribution and withheld tax |
| 31 January | Shareholder statement (RF-1086) for the previous year |
| 31 May | Corporate tax return (skattemelding) |
| 30 June | General meeting held and accounts adopted |
| 31 July | Annual accounts filed with Regnskapsregisteret |
Dates follow the ordinary calendar year and the standard bimonthly VAT term. Companies with other terms, annual VAT or a deviating financial year get their own calendar.
What we need from you
- Send receipts and supplier invoices as you get them — the app takes ten seconds per document
- Tell us about unusual transactions before they happen, not at year-end
- Approve payroll changes by the 8th of the month
- Give us read access to the bank so we never have to ask you for statements
- Reply when we flag something. Most of our questions take you a minute and save an hour later
What you can expect from us
- An answer within one business day, always from a person who knows your file
- A closed period by the 10th working day
- Every deadline met — if we cause a late filing, we cover the fee
- Notice before anything changes your fee
Start with the 60-second check
It gives us the basics we need to quote you properly, and it gives you a price band immediately.
- A price band you can plan with, not a "contact us for a quote"
- A named adviser for your industry and company size
- Free transfer from your current accountant, including the historical data
- No obligation — and no automated sales calls
