Frequently asked questions
Prices, switching accountant, deadlines, audit duty and how we work in practice.
Working with us
Run the 60-second check or call us. We come back with a written proposal containing scope, price and start date, usually within one business day. Once you accept, onboarding takes five to ten working days.
Yes. We normally take over from the start of a new VAT term. Your previous accountant is required to hand over your accounting material, and we manage that request, reconcile the opening balance and document anything that does not add up.
One named adviser, plus a named backup who also knows your file. You get their direct phone number and e-mail — not a shared support address.
Yes. The work is digital, so location does not matter. Roughly 40% of our clients are elsewhere in Norway and we meet them on video. If you want a physical meeting, our offices are in Oslo and Bergen.
Tell us, and you get a response from the general manager within two business days. If we cannot fix it, the notice period is three months and we hand over your data in a complete, structured form — including the SAF-T file — at no cost.
Prices and agreements
On voucher volume, number of employees on the payroll and which services you want. It is a fixed monthly fee agreed in advance. Ordinary questions by phone and e-mail are included — you are never billed for asking.
No. Software licences are invoiced at cost and shown separately. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted before we start it. Year-end work is included in the Full finance package and priced separately in the others.
Three months' notice, both ways. A 12-month commitment applies only when we register your AS free of charge.
Monthly in arrears, with 14 days' payment terms. Larger one-off assignments are invoiced 50% at start and 50% on delivery.
Norwegian rules and deadlines
A-melding by the 5th of each month, the MVA return for each two-month term, the corporate tax return by 31 May, the general meeting within six months of year-end, and the annual accounts to Regnskapsregisteret by 31 July. The full calendar is on our how we work page.
When VAT-liable turnover exceeds NOK 50 000 in a twelve-month period. Some activities are exempt or outside the scope. We check your specific case and handle the registration in Altinn.
Small companies can opt out of statutory audit while they stay below the thresholds in the Companies Act for revenue, balance sheet total and employees, and the decision must be taken by the general meeting. The thresholds change from time to time — we check your figures against the current ones and confirm your position in writing. See audit / revisjon.
Salary is deductible for the company but triggers employer's contribution and is taxed as ordinary income for you. Dividend is paid from taxed profit and is taxed separately, with a shielding deduction on the invested capital. Salary also builds pension and sickness benefit rights. The right mix depends on your profit level and what you need to withdraw — we calculate it as part of the year-end.
Primary accounting records must generally be kept for five years after the end of the financial year, with longer requirements for certain documentation such as construction project records. We store everything digitally for you and hand it over in full if you leave.
Systems and data
Tripletex, PowerOffice Go, Fiken and Visma eAccounting as standard. We can work in another system if you already have one, provided it supports proper bank integration and SAF-T export.
No, as long as it can deliver data in a readable format. Many clients keep invoicing in-house and let us handle everything downstream.
Through the accounting system's mobile app — photograph the receipt and it goes straight into the ledger. Supplier invoices come to a dedicated e-mail address or by EHF directly into the system.
You do. Always. If the engagement ends you get a complete export, including the SAF-T file, at no cost.
